Advanced ISUZU diesel engine series
The next-generation 4HK1-TCN power plant is the latest in ISUZU's lineup of clean and fuel-efficient diesel engines. This advanced engine offers outstanding power as well as great fuel economy, making it ideal for businesses seeking cost-effective operation. Also in the lineup are the high-output 4JJ1-TC engine, which features outstanding torque for its displacement, and 4HG1 engine with their proven reliability.

	Common-rail fuel injection system Electronic control precisely injects fuel at extremely high pressure in 1/1000 second units and determines optimal injection amounts, reducing NOx and particulate matter (PM). (4JJ1-TC, 4HK1-TCN)

	16-valve DOHC Valve operation is accurately timed even at high rpm, increasing air intake and discharge from cylinders, thereby raising intake and exhaust efficiency. These optimal combustion conditions reduce PM and black smoke while raising fuel economy. (4JJ1-TC)

	Manual transmission Powerful yet economical and easy to handle. Reliability and durability you can count on. Trucks equipped with the 4HK1-TCN powerplant come with a six-speed transmission and others with a five-speed transmission.

CHASSIS


	Highly rigid frame, corrosion protection The Frame is highly rigid for extra strength and safety. Special anti-corrosion treatments and materials provide complete protection against rust. Suspension and braking systems are designed for heavy payloads. With all these feature, it’s easy to see why Isuzu N-Series has earned a reputation as the toughest truck on the road today.

	Progressive leaf springs These springs are specially designed to give a smooth ride when the vehicle is unloade yet still have the tounghness for heavy cargo loads.

	Rugged undercarriage and Bias layout gives smooth ride The bias layout of the rear shock absorbers on N-Series models up to 7 tons GVM reduces vibration when getting underway. Rear wheel bounce is also eliminated in reverse when going uphill with no load.

	Exhaust brake-linked lamps Engaging the exhaust brake activates the brake lamps, warning following vehicles.

	Exhaust brake (option) Assures safe stopping every time, even when fully loaded.

	Enhanced Braking Full air braking in GVM 9.5 ton model is engineered for tough conditions and meets ECE regulations. A wheel park lever locks wheels in place.

	Front and rear drum brakes Extra-large brakes improve braking performance.
